1) bus a building for the storage of goods, merchandise, etc
2) any large and usu. public custodial institution for the confinement of the mentally ill, the aged, etc
3) bus to place, deposit, or store in a warehouse
4) com to set aside or accumulate, as for future use
5) bus to place in a government or bonded warehouse, to be kept until duties are paid
6) soc to confine (the mentally ill, the aged, etc.) in large custodial institutions
7) (of a landlord) to keep (an apartment) vacant prior to a conversion to cooperative or condominium so as to bring a higher price from a nonresident
